Welcome to Nepean High School's English Department.
Nepean's English program offers a variety of courses which support all students in developing their skills in oral communication, reading, writing, and media literacy. Throughout all four years, students are provided with opportunities to develop communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills through analysing and creating a variety of print and media texts. Students regularly explore a wide variety of topics and ideas to develop a global and ethical mindset, and are encouraged to use technology in safe and creative ways to communicate ideas. Our Grade 11 course focuses on contemporary Indigenous voices, and we offer elective courses in Media Studies in Grade 11 and Writer’s Craft in Grade 12.
