Congratulations Class of 2020! In the spring, you finished high school in a year that none of us expected. You earned the pride of your family, friends, teachers and principals. And now, it's time to celebrate that achievement.
Despite our hopes to offer in-person commencement ceremonies this fall, it is clear that this will not be possible due to the continued COVID-19 risk in Ottawa-Carleton and the health and safety guidelines still in place.
To ensure a safe celebration for our graduates of 2020, we will be providing a virtual commencement ceremony on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 7:00pm.
We will stream pre-recorded ceremonies featuring messages for graduates, presentation of diplomas and awards, and our valedictorian speech. Graduates and their families can watch the ceremony through a private, unlisted video link. More information will be emailed to graduates (at their OCDSB email address) and their parents/guardians.
If you have commencement messages that you want the school and district to re-post/share on school and district social media accounts, use the hashtags #CappingOff2020 and #ocdsb and tag your school. We look forward to celebrating with you!
